INVITATIONAL ONLY
COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS

Little Stars/ Big Stars
Little Stars train 2 hrs a week while Big stars train 2 hrs twice a week. This is a great introduction to competitive gymnastics for our 4-5 year old's. They do not follow the recreational system, but start working on basic skills to help them transition into the CCP1 program. Little Stars train over the summer months so they can keep up with skills and be part of the team. They will take part in our Christmas show and the showcase in June. Parent’s will be required to help out with our Flip Flop Meet and Showcase in June as we require volunteers.
Level 1+
CCP (Canadian Competitive Program) Level 1-10: Starting at compulsory levels 1-5, moving into optional levels at 6+. This is the standard program running across Canada and the US. Participants in this program will move up levels at their own pace as they acquire skills for each level. Some will do a level for 2 seasons and some will move up a level within a season. Everyone is different and we encourage the kids that it's ok to move at the pace that works for them. Hard work, and commitment is very important in this program if you want to move up into the optional levels. Training requirement is 6-12 hours a week depending on levels. You are also required to train through the summer. We only train 9 days in July and 9 in August. You will participate in about 6-8 competitions in the season, Christmas show, and showcase in June. You will be required to get a sponsorship that will cover leotard, jackets, meet fees etc. Sponsorship amounts depend on levels ranging from $750-$1500. Level 1 train’s 6 hours a week, Level 2 is 9 hours a week and Level 3+ is 12-16 hours a week. Level 1’s usually only do 3-4 competitions starting later in the year once they are ready.

Xcel

This is a new program that has been running in the US for years but just starting to come to Canada. The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional CCP Program to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes. Training requirement is 8-12 hours a week depending on levels. You are also required to train through the summer. We only train 9 days in July and 9 in August. You will participate in 4-6 competitions in the season, Christmas show and the showcase in June. You will be required to get a sponsorship that will cover leotard, jackets, meet fees etc. Sponsorship amounts will be approx $750-$1100. There is a minimum age to enter this program as we like the gymnast to learn the basics first which they get in the CPP Level 1-3 program.
Requests for competitive team assessments may be submitted by messaging WGC. Participation in an assessment does not guarantee placement. Following evaluation, athletes may be placed on a waiting list or directed to alternative programs at the organization’s discretion.
Competitive team intake occurs only when positions become available, typically in June, for the season commencing July 1.
All assessments and competitive placements are determined solely at the discretion of the selection committee, which includes coaches, board members, and administrative staff. Decisions are made in accordance with the organization’s policies, Safe Sport principles, and the long-term development of athletes and the program. Selection decisions are final.
Concerns or complaints related to conduct are addressed through the organization’s established policies and procedures. Selection decisions are not subject to appeal through the complaint process.
